Privacy
PickOne is run by an independent developer. It is free, has no accounts and no advertising, and we never sell data. This page explains what PickOne stores and for how long.
What we store
- Your poll. The question and the two photos you upload. Photos are resized and re-saved, which removes hidden details such as the location where they were taken.
- Votes. Which photo was picked and when. Votes are anonymous.
- An anonymous cookie. One random code, so each browser can vote once per poll. It is not used for anything else.
- A scrambled form of your IP address. Used only to limit abuse (too many polls, votes or reports from one network). It cannot be turned back into your address.
- Reports that people send about a poll.
- Daily totals, such as how many polls and votes there were each day. These contain no personal data and no poll content.
Your browser also remembers the polls you created, so you can find them again. That list stays on your device.
How long we keep it
Every poll, its photos, votes and reports are deleted permanently 7 days after the poll is created, or straight away if you delete the poll from your private poll page. Database backups that allow recovery from mistakes are kept by our hosting provider for up to 30 days, then deleted. Abuse-limit records are kept for one day.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It does not use cookies and does not follow you across other websites. It is never loaded on private poll pages.
Who processes data for us
PickOne runs on Cloudflare, which hosts the site, stores polls and photos, processes images and provides analytics. Cloudflare may process data in data centres in different countries.
Your choices
You can delete your poll at any time from its private poll page. For any question about your data, or to ask us to remove something, email microapplab.support@gmail.com.
